SIGHTING: Brooklyn Decker watching on in Winston-Salem

Tennis WAG Brooklyn Decker was spotted watching hubby Andy Roddick score his first win since Wimbledon taking out Frenchie Edouard Roger-Vasselin 6-2, 6-4 in his opening round match at Winston-Salem.

I'm not sure what Brook is doing these days (no rom-coms that I know of) but she could help me with one thing if she's not busy: Getting her man into the Engineered Stripe Polo by Lacoste in the RIGHT size. Small favors.

+ NETCORDS: News from around the grounds

- Unless you're Andy Roddick or photographer Mark Squires you've probably never seen Brooklyn Decker like this (NSFW).

- The Spanish tennis federation (RFET) be mad. Well, more like they're in a questioning mood. Albert Costa, their Davis Cup captain, has raised issue with the court surface the United States has chosen for the Spain-U.S. tie scheduled for July in Austin. The court's manufacturer, Premier Courts Inc., is not one of the 91 ITF-approved manufacturers according to the RFET. "So the problem I have right now is to explain to the players what kind of court they will encounter because even if we wanted to train on a similar one we could not install it because it is not approved," said Costa. They appealed to the ITF who will give their decision on Thursday. The RFET aren't happy about the USTA presale either.

- Andy Murray pulled out of Barcelona with the elbow injury he sustained at the Monte Carlo Masters while Tomas Berdych sited a stomach virus for his withdrawal.

- With Roland Garros on the horizon SI's Bruce Jenkins isn't seeing this depth in the WTA that some fans and pundits keep discussing. Listen, when you're missing a dominant No. 1 or a compelling rivalry the next best storyline is "depth". Anyway, he's bucking his journalistic objectivity (as if THAT really exists) and backing his fave lady baller to take the RG crown: "So I'll say it again: Go, Francesca. Shameless rooting from the press box. I've got everything but the T-shirt." Way to be honest about it, Bruce.

- Did you know that Julia Goerges isn't "jealous" of the recent attention given to compatriot Andrea Petkovic? Because two female athletes couldn't possibly be competitive without being jealous, you know. Fucking dumb.

- If you like your Roger Federer soaking wet then check out some behind-the-scenes footage (above) from an ad he recently shot for Credit Suisse.

- TENNIS' Tom Perrotta penned a piece for the Wall St. Journal online about Novak Djokovic's brilliant start to 2011 and the rise of Serbian tennis.

- The Monte Carlo Baller Party wasn't a total drag. Janko Tipsarevic and friends took to the stage to give their best impression of Nole dealing with his team. "I had to do it...even thou he is not like this...I had to do it" is what he said on the video's YouTube page. Sure Tipsy. Suuuure.

- And more Nole: The Serb first gave us black, white and grey and today he gives us good face.

- Serena Williams, who recently returned to light practicing and flashy on-court fashion, was spotted on Miami beach in a mis-matched tini-wini bikini. Poor thing is struggling. The bikini, not ReRe y'all.

- Anna Chakvetadze was forced to retire from her first round match in Stuttgart against Zuzana Kucova with dizziness. It's the third straight match that Chaky had to retire because of this mystery illness. "I saw a doctor before the tournament and they told me everything would be ok, which is why I decided to play here," said the Russian. "But now it's the third tournament in a row I have had to retire with this dizziness problem. It seems the doctors don't have all the answers yet, so I have to rest. Hopefully we will find a solution." Petty worrisome stuff.

- Balls, Balls, Balls: NaturAna's top matches in her career so far...TAG Heuer gave Shrieka a sick gift for her 24th birthday...Wozzi was named Female Athlete of the Month by the United States Sports Academy...Tommy Haas gets a visit from his fave physio, Klaus Eder...La Monf has launched a new website.

- Totally Off-Topic: Having a horrid day? Well, click here. And if this video doesn't make you feel a little bit better you ain't human. You might want to check on that. Cheers!

SIGHTING: Brooklyn Decker's new 'do

Tennis WAG Brooklyn Decker was spotted in Miami with a new shaggy bob courtesy of celebrity stylist Ted Gibson. The model/actress is in town to cheer on hubby Andy Roddick during the defense of his Sony Ericsson Open title.

Love. It. Oh yeah, I asked out loud what A-Rod thought of his wife's new 'do over Twitter. I'll get back to you when he gets back to me. *wishful tweeting*

FASHION FIX: Brooklyn Decker trend watch in Hotlanta

Brooklyn Decker, who we last saw decked out in Herve Leger for the ESPY Awards, took a turn for the casual as she watched hubby, Andy Roddick, scrape out a 6-1, 6-7(1), 6-3 win over compatriot Rajeev Ram in sultry Atlanta.

Yes, it's been a near record summer in terms of heat in many parts of the U.S. - including New York City where I'm currently melting - and Hotlanta is no exception. I'm not complaining, though, because it gives people license to wear next to nothing just to survive and that makes my fave past time - people gawking - a much more pleasant experience. At least for me.

But I digress. Back to Brook. The tennis WAG busted out a few trends for her hubby watching:

1) Ray Ban Aviators: Yes, I know I've written about this style maybe a little too much but they're my fave style and the WAGS seem to love 'em too. It's a classic and not a fad like their cousin, the 8o's Wayfarer, which is EVERYWHERE on EVERYBODY right now. But don't worry. Once the Wayfarer gets tired and leaves you, Aviator will be there waiting. You'll see.

2) Boyfriend t-shirt: This trend is all about taking your boyfriend's t-shirt and wearing it as your own, except it's not his - the shirt was made for you. It's an I-just-rolled-outta-of-bed-after-sex-with-my-man-piece-and-threw-on-his-shirt look. Don't act like you've never done it. Or it.

3) Gladiator sandals: Gah! Like the Ray Ban Wayfarers this sand style is everywhere on everybody. I love Brook's color choice but these have been around for a couple of years now. If you don't already have them in your closet then try something new like platform sandals or these cute flats.

4) Chunky necklaces: This accessory trend can get complicated and heavy if you wear too many. Plus, you may need help getting up from your chair and that's never cute (though if you've got A-Rod at your back then you're just blessed.) Keep it simple like Brook is doing here and you should be able to get around all on your lonesome.

P.S. Getty Images listed the woman to Brook's right as Stacy Gardner, Mardy Fish's wife. I'm thinking not.

PHOTO OP: Brooklyn Decker does the ESPYS, keeps Don Draper at bay

In my never ending quest to be an equal opportunity objectifier I bring you Brooklyn Decker from last night's ESPYS, wearing a pink paint-me-awn dress that showed off every curve she knew she had and some new ones for your viewing pleasure.

The tennis WAG was sans hubby, Andy Roddick, for the evening but friend and former baller Justin Gimelstob was on hand for the tough escorting duty and we all know how much Gimel loves sexy blondes:

Later in the evening Brook tweeted backstage that she "shaking" and "dabbing sweat" as she prepared to present the award for Best Play (won by QB Brett Favre + receiver Greg Lewis of the Minnesota Vikings.) Do you think it was because she was about to go onstage with her handsome, smoldering co-presenter Jon Hamm? I mean, if anyone could make you feel safe and secure it's got to be Don Draper:

"Hands off, D."

Uh, on second thought...

More pictures of Brook after the cut.

SIGHTING: Brooklyn gets playful in the baller box

As I broke away from the EPICALLY INSANE first round Isnut match, which is currently at 40-all in the decider, I spotted this image of Brooklyn Decker looking all kinds of pretty playing with her fly-away hair and working my fave aviator look.

The Sports Illustrated cover girl watched as her hubby, Andy Roddick, came back from a set down to defeat Michael Llodra 4-6, 6-4, 6-1, 7-6 (2) in the second round. He'll face Philipp Kohlschreiber for a spot in the Round of 16.

SIGHTING: Broddick in Hawaii, A-Rod offers man-candy moment

Andy Roddick + wifey Brooklyn Decker were spotted grabbing some sun on a beach in Hawaii on Tuesday. Brooklyn was shooting scenes for her upcoming movie Just Go With It starring rom-com queen Jennifer Aniston + Adam Sandler. The pair were also celebrating their 1-year anniversary.

Not that it really matters to me but why is Brooklyn, the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl, fully clothed on a beach? Maybe she just stepped off the set or something. Anyway, I'd be truly concerned if A-Rod was covered up but luckily he's not, showing us all who owns the real curves in this relationship (try not to stare at those ass-ets - I dare you.)

He's playing the role of trophy wife extremely well, huh?

More of A-Rod's man-candy moment below...

MEDIA MASHUP: Is it 'Ana' or is it 'Anna'?

The cover of the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has been unveiled and tennis WAG Brooklyn Decker has grabbed the highly-coveted spot this year! The 22-year old and wife to Andy Roddick is appearing in the big issue for the fifth time but first time on the cover.

Her tennis ballin' hubby tweeted this after finding out the news: "so happy/proud of my wife... the new cover for sports illustrated swimsuit issue!!!! unreal... so excited!!!!!!!!!!"

Click here for more images and video of Brooklyn's photoshoot.

A swimsuit-clad Ana Ivanovic is also making an appearance in this year's issue in a shoot that looks eerily similar to another former lady baller's photoshoot for K-Swiss:

See guys - who needs to win tennis matches when you look as good as these women? Just toss a net around their bodies, push them into a vat of balls and you've got a career (and a lifetime supply of adidas duds as well.)

Click here for more shots of NaturAna from the issue and some behind-the-scenes video taken at her shoot:

Will Broddick be moving to Brooklyn?

Guess who might be nabes?!!

Andy Roddick and wifey Brooklyn Decker were reportedly spotted scoping out apartments in my 'hood - Brooklyn, NY - recently.

According to the New York Post's Page Six, the couple visited the J Condominium complex in DUMBO near the Manhattan bridge which boasts high-end eminities and views of the Manhattan skyline. The gossip rag's sources said,

[...] they are looking for a Brooklyn apartment to complement their Texas spread and didn't want to buy in Manhattan.

Broddick already owns a pad in the Gramercy Park section of Manhattan which they bought for $1.19 million in 2008.

Ah, how great would it be to have them as neighbors, "accidentally" running into them all over the borough? Good times.

Brooklyn's got legs...and she knows how to use 'em

Here's a sneak peek from Brooklyn Decker's guest cameo on Ugly Betty next Friday, October 30.

In the episode, the gorgeous tennis WAG plays the new sexy, but incompetent, assistant to Mode EIC Daniel Meade played by Eric Mabius.

Brooklyn has some serious leg action going on here (lucky A-Rod.) And the outfit? Well, I'm getting a fashion flashback at the moment.

PHOTO OP: Brooklyn (almost) bares it all for GQ magazine

Andy Roddick's swimsuit-wearing WAG Brooklyn Decker is featured in the September 2009 of GQ and shows off some of her best, eh, wares.

She also discusses her tennis balling husband and how he admitted his stalking nature:

While Decker has no trouble attracting her own attention—she’s the star of four straight Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues and an upcoming show hosted by Dan Patrick—the man behind the A is husband Andy Roddick. Spotting Decker in the stands looking like the picture of all-American cool has become half the reason to watch Grand Slam tennis and yet another reason to root for the tireless if sometimes overshadowed Roddick: More Andy means more Brooklyn. This month the former high school cheerleader and class president will be riding the No. 7 train to Queens from the couple’s Manhattan apartment for the U.S. Open, where the red-hot Roddick will be gunning for a post-Wimbledon rematch against Roger Federer—and Brooklyn will get plenty of screen time.

Decker exudes supernatural supermodel poise, but there’s one topic that rattles even her: She met her husband when his agent called hers to arrange a date. “That happens all the time to girls,” Decker says, blushing a little, “but his was the one number I kept.” For their first get-together, Roddick took her to dinner, then an Upright Citizens Brigade comedy show. “He was the first to admit that he kind of stalked me,” Decker says. “But his line was ‘It’s only stalking if the other person doesn’t like it.’ ”
I guess that might be true - stalking is all in the eye of the stalkee. Plus, I'm sure A-Rod was attracted to her lovely "personalities."

But, could Brooklyn be the hawtest tennis WAG at the moment? After this shoot, I might have to say YES. You may disagree with me here, but I think we can all agree on who's the worst. Color me still stunned.

Broddick's public war of words, A-Rod hearts Astley

Me thinks Broddick needs their own Twitter reality show.

The couple have been having a public "war of words" about a few of their musical guilty pleasures after A-Rod outed Brooklyn's penchant for bubble gum pop:

She, of course, retaliated by defending her questionable tastes while exposing A-Rod's love of a certain 80's crooner and some boy band dance moves:

When asked about the war of words with his wife in his post-match presser, A-Rod responded by saying,

What do you want me to say? I said I wasn't proud, but I'm not going to lie to anybody. I busted my wife on some of her ... music. She brought up Rick Astley. I can't deny it. It's in my iPod. I bet it's in your iPod, too, so shut up.

*throws iPod in garbage*

I have NOTHING like that on my iPod. Pinky swear.

On a side note, I'd die to see A-Rod pull a Justin Timberlake. But does JT pull at his junk too?

More details on Broddick nuptials, Brooklyn chooses Vera Wang

Thanks to an anonymous reader for sending me a link to more info on Andy Roddick + Brooklyn Decker's big wedding weekend.

According to Austin360.com, Brooklyn will be wearing Vera Wang while A-Rod, who supposedly had offers from a few designers including Tom Ford, is keeping his tux designer hush-hush (like anyone really cares what the groom wears anyway.)

Here are more deets on the wedding:

Brooklyn will wear a Vera Wang dress. Vera Wang offered to make the dress. She is a good friend of Andy’s. They know each other because Vera and Andy have stayed in neighboring properties in Hawaii for some time. Andy usually stops in Hawaii every year on his way to play in the Australian Open.

Andy had offers from several designers including Austin-born Tom Ford for his wedding outfit. However, he is keeping the look a secret until the wedding day.

There will be 30 people, mostly family and a few friends, at the wedding.

The reception will be at Stubb’s from 6 or 7 p.m. until 2 a.m.

They have selected an unnamed band or DJ to provide music.

Andy doesn’t want to provide photos to the media. He did get offers from (probably) People and US Weekly and those types of mags. However, he said he wants to keep the event private even though the money paid for a photo could go to his charity. Andy just wants to have a special moment.

Andy and Brooklyn have really never been to a wedding or reception so they planned something very simple.

Elton John will play at the wedding, which will likely be outside.

There isn’t a backup plan if there’s bad weather on Saturday.

So what's with these ballers not giving the media any pictures (yes, you too Fed)? LAME. I understand they want the special day to be private (who wouldn't?) but with all the public news about these nuptials, someone will want photos (read: stalkeratti.)

Good luck with that one Broddick!

(UPDATED) THE LOW DOWN: Did Broddick tie the knot today?!

Rumor has it (at least according to an anonymous DtL comment) Andy Roddick + Brooklyn Decker got married today a day after RoKa officially announced their secret nuptials:

Hmmm.. not content with raining tears on Rafa's parade in Melbourne, RF has now also upstaged poor Andy Roddick's Easter wedding.

HA - they made a funny! Anyway, can someone confirm whether it's true or not?! Inquiring minds are DYING to know (pictures would be great too.)

Damn. These baller boys are dropping like flies. So much for the athlete/man-whore cliche. Uh, on second thought, scratch that one. Right Nando?

UPDATE: Thanks to Sara for sending over more info on Broddick and their upcoming nuptials. According to Deadspin the wedding is supposed to happen next weekend at the Westwood Country Club in Austin, TX. Stay tuned!

SIGHTING: Brooklyn spotted in Melbourne, green-eyed monster too

Brooklyn Decker was spotted in the stands watching future hubbie-to-be, Andy Roddick, annihilate Sweden's Bjorn Rehnquist 6-0, 6-2, 6-2 in the Aussie Open first round, hitting 17 winners against only 10 errors and bombing down 9 aces (only 9?). Spectacular start for A-Rod - no question.

I have to admit the green-eyed monster reared it's ugly head not for those questionable shades but after seeing A-Rod's new ridiculously ripped bod. And, I may not be an SI swimsuit model (at least not in public) but I'm sure I have some things to offer (love of gossip, dirty mind).

But who I am to stand in the way of Broddick's true love - even for one night.

Quote of the Day: A-Rod on Brooklyn

She's certainly no bridezilla.

- Andy Roddick on how fianceé Brooklyn Decker's handling their wedding preparations

Hysterical. I actually can't see A-Rod with a bridezilla type, which is why it's a good thing he didn't end up with Shrieka. Oh the horror.

FASHION FIX: Top ballers take in Spring 2009 New York Fashion Week

With all the hooplah surrounding the US Open the last two weeks, one could forget New York Fashion Week is happening right under our noses. Some of our fave ballers made their way to Bryant Park in Manhattan to check out some of the latest trends and styles for Spring 2009.

Newly crowned US Open champion Serena Williams continued to smile uncontrollably a day after earning her ninth major as she joined Ivana Trump backstage at the Luca Luca show.

Sister Venus, a fashionista in her own right, grabbed a photo op with suspiciously smooth-faced Oscar winner Renee Zellweger backstage at the Carolina Herrera runway show.

Injured Maria Sharapova, who also took in some Paris haute couture fashion after her early Wimbledon loss this summer, spent more of her off-time at a few shows recently.

The Russian was spotted in the front row of the Herve Leger show working the navy Bandage Dress featuring crystal accents from his Fall 2008 collection.

Shrieka also made an appearance at the Peter Som show, one of her fave designers, wearing a dress from his 2009 Resort Collection.

But don't be fooled - she wasn't on babysitting duty here people. The Russian was joined in the front row by diminutive Olympic champion Nastia Luikin. Can she be any smaller?

But the ladies weren't the only ones feeling Fashion Week in New York. Manhattan couple Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker were joined backstage at the Lacoste show by golfer Cristie Kerr.

Is it me or is that over-sized alligator on A-Rod's shirt about to take nibble of Cristie? Buyers beware!

SIGHTING: Brooklyn + Stacey's US Open fiancee fiesta

Brooklyn Decker, fiancee to Andy Roddick, was spotted watching her husband-to-be get his game back on track at the US Open this week. It seems sporty Brooklyn and classic Brooklyn will be making appearances in A-Rod's baller box this week, though my fave is still fly-away Brooklyn from Queen's Club.

Mardy Fish's betrothed, Deal or No Deal's Stacey Gardner, was spotted working a hippy-chic dress as she watched her man battle Frenchie Gael Monfils in the fourth round. Though I'm not usually a fan of this look, it does seem like a comfortable, end of summer moment for Stacey.

FASHION FIX: The trench coat makes a comeback just in time for Wimbledon's weather

So y'think there's a big trench coat trend happening in London these days?

Most likely inspired by the notorious summer rains of the English capital, some ballers and their S.O.'s have been spotted working the classic style.

(From left to right) Serena Williams debuted her new Nike trench-style warm up jacket yesterday in her first round match at Wimbledon to great interest from the press. At Queen's Club, Andy Roddick's fiancee Brooklyn Decker and buddy Mardy Fish's fiancee Stacey Gardner were both spotted working the trend while supporting their boys. And today, Ukranian Julia Vakulenko walked out for her match first rounder against Flavia Pennetta sporting the same style.

I love a beautifully tailored trench coat mixed with a basic t-shirt and jeans and a pair of Jack Purcell white sneakers or Vans. It can really add a sleek, dressed up element to a casual outfit.

SIGHTING: A-Rod + Brooklyn reminisce at Nobu London

A bit o' romantic reminiscing maybe?

Andy Roddick and our new fave tennis fashionista Brooklyn Decker were spotted leaving Nobu in London. A-Rod returned to action this week in the English capital as the third seed and defending champion at Queen's Club. He defeated compatriot Robby Ginepri 6-7 (6), 6-1, 6-1 in the second round and showed no effects of the shoulder injury that kept him out of the French Open.

It was last year during the US Open that the tennis twosome were spotted getting their romance on at the restaurant's New York City location for the first time.

Pop quiz: Does anyone remember what Nobu London is also infamous for in the tennis world? Here's a hint - I wouldn't go into the broom closet if I were you...
