"We are engaged and are both really happy," Vujacic said Thursday night before the Lakers' exhibition game against Golden State. "It's good and now we can focus on other things."
The agent for three-time Grand Slam champion Sharapova confirmed the news in an e-mail to The Associated Press.
Vujacic said he proposed on the one-year anniversary of their first meeting at a friend's barbecue.
"It's was probably old school," Vujacic said. "I had to do it like a gentlemen."
Vujacic said a wedding date hasn't been set.
The annual pre-Wimbledon party was held at The Roof Gardens in West London's Kensington last night and the lady ballers of the WTA came out to play.

So my overall thought on the evening's fashion is the usual: the WTA needs to hire me as their resident stylist. Oh and they need to hire a make-up artist. No one, I mean NO ONE, should have to deal with sock/strap lines or, worse, putting their face on while traveling in a car to the event. Get it together. Tennis WAG Kim Sears was spotted in the baller box watching defending champ Andy Murray struggle past Spaniard Ivan Navarro 7-6(8), 6-3 in his opening match at Queen's Club.
The pair were in a serious 4-year relationship until last November when they called it quits amidst rumors the Brit baller was spending way too many hours working his Playstation joystick. That's a boy for you. However, the gossip mill started churning again this past April when Kim was spotted visiting the Surrey home they shared and word began to fly they were spending more time together as well.
Well, based on Kim's appearance at Muzz's match today (her face, not those awesome Ray Ban aviators we both share) and her I'm-so-happy-to-be-here-supporting-you expression I'd say it's 'Game On' for them. And that's good news for Muzz whose game hasn't been the same since they split - for real.

A bit of off-court news to pass the rain delay at Roland Garros: Serena Williams and boyfriend of two years, Common, reportedly have ended their relationship according to the New York Post via tabloid In Touch Weekly.
The last time they appeared together publicly was at the April premiere of the Tina Fey and Steve Carell comedy "Date Night." However, at the May 4 premiere of his new film "Just Wright" co-starring Queen Latifah the rapper attended the event with his mother.
Neither ReRe's nor Common's reps have confirmed the split as of yet.
Ah well, we've been here before with these two and were wrong. So fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice? Shame on me.

I just wanted to give you guys an exciting heads up: I'll be writing a column for a newly launched tennis site called Strawberries & Scream which aims to bring the freshest, edgiest coverage of women + tennis. Congratulations to Sania Mirza who married cricketer Shoaib Malik at a hotel in Hyderabad days after his divorce from another Indian woman, Ayesha Siddique, was brokered by Muslim elders.
Okay that's some last minute drama. But at the very least she can keep her monogrammed towels. And sheet set.

On the heels of the New York Post mention about Rafael Nadal + Shakira sharing dinner in Barcelona that I tweeted about yesterday comes some raw footage from her new music video for "Gypsy" featuring the 6-time Grand Slammer. Apparently they shot the video last week.
We all know how much she loves watching the Matador play and now she gets to get all cuddly with him in this video. Nice moves Shak but make sure to keep those hands in check.

A passerby saw the boy and called the police. Alla claims she left him behind because he didn't want to go on an errand run with her. The boy was not injured in the jump.

Apparently the Brits are having a field day with all the rumored reasons for the breakup between their boy Andy Murray and his now ex-girlfriend, Kim Sears.
First there was talk of Muzz dating the current Miss Scotland Katharine Brown. NOW, The Telegraph is reporting the breakup was caused by the long hours the 22-year old spent on his PlayStation. No, really. A source close to Kim told UK gossip rag The Sun,
“He would spend all his time glued to them. In the end she just got fed up with it. She wanted more out of the relationship."Thanks Mysterious Source.
Andy Murray + Kim Sears have ended their 4-year relationship.
When asked about the split Leonore Sears, mom to the tennis WAG, confirmed the news saying, "Yes, but I am not going to comment on it."
She reportedly moved out of the home they shared in Surrey and returned to her parent's home. Kim was not in Muzz' baller box in London where he was knocked out of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in the round robin portion of the tourney.
Ah, so sad. It'll be strange not seeing her cheering Muzz on in the stands - she was always a presence at his matches. I wonder what caused the breakup? Maybe, like a lot of relationships, it just ran its course.

Thanks to a tweet by James Larosa (and the stalkeratti) the rumored budding romance between Maria Sharapova + the LA Lakers Sasha Vujacic is def AWN - well, as much as a photo of two happy looking people strolling down a sidewalk holding hands can say.
So I guess the race to name this coupling will begin. Somebody shoot me if I start.

Andy Roddick and wifey Brooklyn Decker were reportedly spotted scoping out apartments in my 'hood - Brooklyn, NY - recently.
According to the New York Post's Page Six, the couple visited the J Condominium complex in DUMBO near the Manhattan bridge which boasts high-end eminities and views of the Manhattan skyline. The gossip rag's sources said,
[...] they are looking for a Brooklyn apartment to complement their Texas spread and didn't want to buy in Manhattan.
