PHOTO OP: Venus, Serena and Sharapova hit up Hollywood

So amalzing (that's for you, Penny) to see Venus Williams out and about, looking full-on gorge at last night's Vanity Fair Oscar Party in West Hollywood. Since she hasn't returned yet to the courts yet, this outing is the next best thing. And she got the leg memo.

Looks like Serena Williams got the memo on the old Hollywood theme last night if her mermaid dress is any indication. She worked her curves and loved every minute of it. Feeling the color, too.

Before. And after. All in a nights work for the Russian glamazon Maria Sharapova. But, if anyone saw the person who shredded up Shrieka's dress and left her with a nightie, let her know. Would you, please?

SIGHTING: A double dose of Serena Williams on Oscar night - which one was better?

Serena Williams is never one to miss a Hollywood party, especially in celebration of the Oscars. The 13-time Grand Slammer was spotted watching The King's Speech win Best Picture at the 19th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party last night in this gorge fringe tiered strapless A-line dress. I love that she kept the accessories to a minimum and let this beautiful dress speak for itself.

Afterward, ReRe decided to go old-Hollywood for the 201l Vanity Fair Oscar Party hosted by Graydon Carter and changed out of that black beauty into another strapless gown, this time in pink with a sweetheart neckline and gold accessories. But what's up with the black nail polish (I wonder if it's from Glam Slam, her collab with OPI?) I'm not loving the combo at all. Perhaps I'm asking a little too much of ReRe to have pulled up her pantyhose on a full wardrobe change while also slapping on a complementary nail color (more like someone slapping it on her.) Perhaps.

I guess if I had to choose between the two versions of ReRe, though, I would pick the first one - it all worked very well together while the silhouette showed off her figure nicely. As for the stick straight locks with the blunt bangs? SO OVER.

(UPDATED) SIGHTING: Serena Williams joins Burberry in Beverly Hills

Speaking of Serena Williams, she and the Party Watch made an appearance at her fave design house of the moment - BURBERRY -  and their Beauty garden tea party in Beverly Hills yesterday. Here she is getting photographed and shrinking the label's creative head Christopher Bailey and actress Kate Bosworth.

The top lady baller has been sporting their duds frequently this month so I'm sure they were thrilled to have her at their event. But all this partying can't be great for an injured foot - or maybe she knows something we don't know.

UPDATE: ReRe will undergo foot surgery and, consequently, miss Istanbul, Cincinnati, and Montréal. You can see the bandaging on the top of her right foot near the ankle in these pictures and here. "I'm so upset I won't be able to play in the upcoming events because of this foot surgery," said the world's top lady baller. "Thank you for all of your support. I can't wait to get back on the courts." You see? I knew this was a dumb idea. Tsk, tsk.

(UPDATED) PHOTO OP: Serena Williams ramps up Party Watch, hosts pre-ESPY event

The Serena Party Watch was in full effect last night as the world's top lady baller hosted a pre-ESPY party in Bel Air, CA.

A Burberry-clad ReRe, which seems to be her fave design house ATM after she worked their dress at the Wimbledon ball earlier this month, was joined by sister Venus (who the WTA - yes that WTA - tweeted was Selita Ebanks) and a bevy of athletes, celebs, reality stars and musicians at the event.

She is nominated for the Best Female Athlete and Best Tennis Player Awards. The 2010 ESPYS will be televised live on ESPN this Wednesday, July 13 at 9PM EST.

PHOTO OP: Serena Party Watch hits Gucci in NYC

Serena Williams has been busy pimping out her new book, "On the Line", and discussing her much-discussed US Open meltdown around the TV circuit.

But the 11-time Grand Slammer blew up the Serena Party Watch by visiting the Gucci flagship store in New York City last night to support the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (F.F.A.W.N.), the Italian lux brand's partnership with Grammy-winning singer Mary J. Blige.

Serena Williams + Common were spotted looking very much the couple at the wrap party for "Just Wright" at Greenhouse in NYC this week which stars the rapper alongside Queen Latifah. Hmmm - I don't know about you but I don't act like this with my exes. But that's just me.

PHOTO OP: The WTA ladies get bright + shiny at Pre-Wimby party

Some of the lady ballers from the WTA Tour got all glammed up last night for the annual Ralph Lauren Sony Ericsson Pre-Wimbledon Party hosted by Richard Branson at The Roof Gardens.

Vera Zvonareva, Venus + Serena Williams, Anne Keothavong, Ana Ivanovic, and Elena Dementieva put on their best model face for a beautiful shot taken during a photo session at the event.

Apparently, the big theme of the night was bright + shiny fabrics and accessories. With the exception of MAYBE Svetlana Kuznetsova who looks like a gift box with (thick) legs, the ladies look drop dead. Even Serena Williams' "genie-in-a-bottle" moment works - go figure.

You know, more often than not, I cringe at what they choose to wear at these events because it always looks like they got dressed in the dark. Could it be Ralph Lauren provided the wardrobe this time around? If so, then nice moves RL. Nice moves.

MEDIA MASHUP: Serena gets glam for charity dance, goes shopping for some friends

A dolled up Serena Williams was spotted almost on the red carpet for charity New Yorkers for Children Spring Dinner Dance 'New Year's in April: A Fool's Fete' at the Mandarin Oriental last night.

The 10-time Grand Slammer spent some time in the salon chair before hand and made sure to tweet about it:

The top ballers in the world gathered for the annual Sony Ericsson Baller Party last night at LIV Club in the Fontainebleau Hotel.

The big trend for the ladies? Bold animal prints. Some did it well while others did it questionably. The boys stayed conservative with button-down shirts, suit/jackets, and jeans.

THE GOOD

Serena Williams: Still working old Hollywood glamour, still looking sexy

Maria Sharapova: Only Shrieka could pull off Marrakech Pants. Plus, loving the accessories. The hair? Meh.

Novak Djokovic: Not breaking any new ground here, but Nole's duds fit him well and the pop of stripes + color are a good touch.

SIGHTING: Serena steps out in leopard print for Oscar night

Hollywood wannabe Serena Williams was spotted on the red carpet for the FOX Searchlight post-Academy Awards party for big winner Slumdog Millionaire (yay!) and the Mickey Rourke comeback film The Wrestler. The Bollywood drama racked up 8 Oscars including Best Picture + Director though favorite Mickey lost out on the Best Lead Actor Award to Sean Penn who starred as iconic gay rights activist Harvey Milk in Milk (yay!).

I'm not a big animal print lover but this leopard print silk halter dress is quite striking on ReRe - it def fits her personality. And I love that she kept it simple with a few accessories including the black flap and small earrings.

I bet ReRe was pushing around the "dramedy" screenplay she's supposedly writing - she's never one to miss a good opportunity!

SIGHTING: Serena swallows pride, hits up Big Mac 40th for free food - well, maybe

Serena Williams was spotted getting her Big Mac on for an event celebrating the 40th anniversary of the popular McDonald's sandwich.

I'm not sure if this counts as a Serena Party Watch hit or why ReRe's there in the first place - not the best way to uphold her healthier, fitter image.
