Some of the lady ballers from the WTA Tour got all glammed up last night for the annual Ralph Lauren Sony Ericsson Pre-Wimbledon Party hosted by Richard Branson at The Roof Gardens.
Vera Zvonareva, Venus + Serena Williams, Anne Keothavong, Ana Ivanovic, and Elena Dementieva put on their best model face for a beautiful shot taken during a photo session at the event.
Apparently, the big theme of the night was bright + shiny fabrics and accessories. With the exception of MAYBE Svetlana Kuznetsova who looks like a gift box with (thick) legs, the ladies look drop dead. Even Serena Williams' "genie-in-a-bottle" moment works - go figure.
You know, more often than not, I cringe at what they choose to wear at these events because it always looks like they got dressed in the dark. Could it be Ralph Lauren provided the wardrobe this time around? If so, then nice moves RL. Nice moves.

ReplyDeleteRich, let me get your opinion on this: What do you think about them spray-tanning their feet? Whenever I see the players dressed up, their ghost-white feet and ankles always stand out to me. Do you think they should go for that orange glow?

Haha, yeah, the feet look indeed stupid, especially Ana's! And poor Svetlana needs to get a better stylist. The lipstick alone! Re: feet. The boys have the same problem. I have seen pictures of Fed and Rafa in casual wear.. OMG. And men's feet are erm.. not pretty in general imho.

Ana/Vera- THEY LOOK LIKE MOTHERS going to a retirement dinner....yikes, Ana needs a stylist, she has SO much potential, maybe even let Maria dress her......
I think Vera and Sveta look awful.
ReplyDeleteVera's shoes are plain ugly and don't really match the dress. Plus, the colour of the dress doesn't compliment her skin tone.
And Sveta... well, drag queen it is. Dunno how she does it, really.
The others look really nice I think! Esp. Venus!
It's true though, Ana's white feet and ankles look funny, hehe.
I love these girls but sometimes it's a scary thing when they play dress up.
