Serena Williams has been busy pimping out her new book, "On the Line", and discussing her much-discussed US Open meltdown around the TV circuit.
But the 11-time Grand Slammer blew up the Serena Party Watch by visiting the Gucci flagship store in New York City last night to support the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (F.F.A.W.N.), the Italian lux brand's partnership with Grammy-winning singer Mary J. Blige.

No. I too thought she had deliberately defaulted the match, no only because she didn't want to lose to Kim but she also knew it would be great publicity for her new book. Just look at all the attention she's received over the past few days because of her "meltdown".
Serena gets phonier every year. A celebrity-wannabe. Guess I'm just cynical. Or maybe a realist.

Right! Not that she's ever come back from match point or a set down or anything like that, because she's sooo mentally weak. The thought of winning a tie-break and then a third set was just tooo much for her. Of course she planned it, because that's just the celebrity wanna be part of her. Who ever thought a popular athlete could be a celebrity?
ReplyDeleteAmazing what ridiculous ideas people will come up with when they simply don't like someone. She must have been faking those tears about her sister too .. cha ching? Damned if she does and damned if she doesn't.
There was no chance of her actually thinking she'd win the USO and then go on her book tour. I'm sure she's relishing looking unhinged in that moment, facing fine, possible suspension and apologizing profusely. Gotta love the logic.
Her book was released before her semifinal with Kim.
