It seems the execs may be pulling the old "robbing Peter to pay Paul" scheme by offering tourneys a return since no Tour-wide sponsor has been secured yet. ReplyDeleteBy the way Rich, I'm not trying to start a heated discussion. My stance is pretty well known at this point. I just want those that haven't seen the match to watch it and put themselves in their (specifically 19 year old Serena) position and assess how they would honestly feel about Indian Wells.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's the fans, but more to the fact that the tournament did nothing to quell that situation for a professional player at their event.

Why is everyone still holding on to this IW thing when its been over 8 years already? The sisters don't want to play there, they have made their stand very clear on that.I think its high time the world of tennis moves on.
