Novak Djokovic got dressed down during his 4-6, 4-6, 1-6 loss to Rafael Nadal in Bendidorm today. Spain defeated Serbia 4-1 (David Ferrer beat Viktor Troicki 6-0, 6-3 in the final dead rubber match) and will face Germany in the quarterfinals.
Note to Nole: cute skirt, wrong occasion.
UPDATE: Here's video of the incident in question. Peek-a-boo we see (some of) you Nole!

Oh my... what happened there?
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think he should have dropped the skirt altogether. Also I wouldn't have minded a photo with a view directly from behind. Or in front.
Mmm...
Forget the skirt! What's up with those shoes!? It looks like he killed the Smurfs and took their skin!
ReplyDeleteAccording to the commentators, Marat Safin did the same thing at Roland Garros. When the hell did that happen?
ReplyDeleteLOL that was to make the spanking easier.
ReplyDeleteand the smurfy shoes was to get all three national colors but the order was all wrong...
What actually happened? It looked to me like he did it himself. Certainly didn't look like the pants got off because he was running.. Oh well. We'll take what we can get.
ReplyDeletesara: Marat did do it during a match at RG but he actually bent over *dies* while pulling his shorts down. It actually came across much funnier than Nole's version IMO. Nole looked like he was sorta thinking about doing it then did it then kind of went on. Marat def did it with hilarity in mind.
ReplyDeletebabz: Nole def did do it himself - it may have been in homage to Marat. He should've just gone all the way - is mooning considered gamesmanship? If I was the umpire, I'd GIVE Nole a point for showing us his ass-ets. I mean, it's only fair.
ReplyDelete*feels naughty*
I was just about to mention Marat doing that. One of my favorite moments in the history of tennis! I think Nole would have done it if he were in neutral territory. As much flack as he's been getting recently, mooning the crowd during a Davis Cup match in a rival country would have topped - or bottomed - it.
ReplyDeleteI found it on youtube:

Here, in the end.
Oh Nole, Nole, Nole! Only Marat can look hot doing that. You should learn from the master.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha what a legend. I would like to think he was paying homage to Marat. Shame we didn't get to see more of those tiny whities! His attempt to distract Rafa didn't work unfortunatley!
ReplyDeleteMaja, you made me laugh so hard.
ReplyDeleteTalking about Nole AND Marat's ass-ets all in the one thread is just too much for my oversexed brain to deal with...
ReplyDelete*dies and goes to naked baller heaven*
Hi Rich. How you doin?!?!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Safin was a lot funnier than Djokovic when he did it. He did it after an unbelievable point, but unfortunately he was penalized for it. Why the hell would anyone penalize Safin for droppin his pants?!?!? are these people crazy or what?!!
R
Hahaha what the heck is up with Nole there?! LOL
ReplyDeleteTo me it looks like he was just pulling them down because he wanted to adjust that elastic band on his waist.
Or he contemplated pulling his shorts down in Maratness, suddenly got too chicken and thought: "Oh well I'll make it look like I was just redoing the elastic band of my shorts..."
derangedsoviet: I think I saw you there the other day - fun much?
ReplyDeleteReem: Hey! Yeah it seemed funnier when Marat did it. Nole did it half-assed, no pun intended of course (or not).
sonja: It looked like he did it on purpose - trying to be cheeky as it were. But it seemed like he wasn't sure or something. I say go all the way. Can you be considered a streaker if you're already on court???
Novak always finding reasons for taking his clothes off: HOTT!!!
ReplyDeleteTotally Rich... he either should've gone all the way or not do it at all.
ReplyDeleteI'm rooting for ALL THE WAY BABY!
*makes Austin Powers YEAH BABY sound*
