It’s one of my favorite animals, and I think it describes in some ways my personality as well. I play a pretty aggressive game, and I’m very emotional, and I’m kind of connected to that bird.
My grandfather used to call me always when I was younger, ‘falcon, falcon’ – doesn’t make any sense in English, but in our language it does.

Er, I would've picked a peacock for you Nole. Just sayin'.

LOL Rich you crack me up!! Nole is sooooo a peacock!! With all that vanity and self absorption... far from a falcon!
ReplyDeleteIs there a bird that retires early and has asthma?? That's the Nole bird.
ReplyDelete"Is there a bird that retires early and has asthma?? "
ReplyDeleteThis brings a TOTALLY different image in my head than what you probably intended.
Oh, Nole. Just tone it down. A little? I'm not asking for much am I?
Dear Neil
ReplyDeleteAsthma can kill. If you think it is so funny, I hope you develop it yourself.
"I would've picked a peacock for you Nole"
ReplyDeleteI would have just gone with cock.
this cracked me up big time.
ReplyDeletebut guys isn't it meant to be related to the serbian eagle/falcon malarky?
Anon 5:02: yeah, I thought it was a reference to the whole serbia/montenegro as falcons vs 'the eagle' aka the austro-hungarian empire... Hence the 'it makes sense in my language' thing. But maybe I'm reading too much into it.
ReplyDeleteI definitely see him as more of a peacock though...
OMG too funny you guys - great weekend already!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL vw...oh ...wait...can't breath..must retire from posti...................
ReplyDelete:P
No malarkey here - it's just a Serbian term of endearment for a boy to call him a falcon. And it rhymes with Nole (in Serbian: "Nole - sokole").
ReplyDeleteChill, y'all.
@ Anon 6:48
ReplyDeletewait so "sokole" means falcon in serbian?
Nole the peacock sounds brilliant!
ReplyDeleteTotally off-topic: Fed is wearing a t-shirt right now! Not a polo? What is going on here?
Please Rich, we need some fashion coverage here!
LOL if anyone is a peacock it's Fed with his special cardigans, gold initial caps, his man bags. He is the one that peacocks with Anna Wintour.
ReplyDeleteNeil be careful. Sounds like a curse.
and what in the world is going on with verdasco's "hairy situation"?? Im loving the game though, he seems to have the fire from AO still going strong.
ReplyDeleteLOL anonymous, perhaps vw stands for voodo ways. I better get my garlic clove necklace ready :)
ReplyDeletevw stands for venus williams. beware.
ReplyDeleteNo it's VolksWagen.
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Nole the peacock is excellent...!
ReplyDeleteDoes Nole have his own charity or foundation the way Rafa and Roger do? I've been wondering for a while :)
and they call Gulbis the Swan. LOL
ReplyDeletePeacock should be reserved for Roger.
ReplyDeleteNole's grandfather should have called him the rugrat.
