Ana Ivanovic has moved into the $5.7 million holiday home she was reported to have purchased in Palma Son-Vida, Mallorca and has already begun preparations for the 2009 tennis season.
Via her blog:
I’ve been training in Spain for the past two weeks. I bought a holiday home in Mallorca. It’s a very quiet and peaceful area, so it’s a perfect place to train and relax. I have always liked Mallorca: I used to come here to train when I was 15.Oh the life of a multi-millionairess. But, of course, the big question: is cutesy Anando already swinging from the new home's chandeliers and all?
I will continue to live in Switzerland, but this gives me another option for training, especially in the winter when you can practise outdoors.
My cousin visited me when I moved in, which was very nice. The neighbours have been very friendly too.
My first week of training was mainly conditioning work, but I had a light hit a few times. Even though the focus has been fitness work, it’s important to slowly work yourself back into a rhythm on the court. It’s also good for your hands, otherwise you can get blisters if you go from not playing at all for two weeks, to intense hitting.
I am now training hard on the court too. I have a hitting partner here with me.
I guess we'll find out soon enough whether Ana tells us or not. I mean, we do have our ways...
wouldn't surprise me if the 'hitting partner' she's talking about is fernando..
ReplyDeleteHi Rich! Thanks for the latest on Ana... this may be a bit off-subject, but out of curiosity do you know how many languages she speaks? I'm pretty positive she's fluent in Spanish (training there, dating Fern, etc.) but does she also speak German and/or French? Just thinking of her living in Switzerland. I've read that Nole speaks German and Italian (in addition to Serbian and English, obvies). Dang. That's hot.
ReplyDeleteinteresting that she talkes about the blisters on the hands. and i thought i was the only one who gets that!
ReplyDeletethanks for explaining that dillema, ana.
kiko: good call - i bet you're right on that one
ReplyDeletejohanne: hey! per her bio she speaks fluent serbian (obvs), english, and some spanish
vicki: luckily i don't get blisters but i have a huge calous on my right thumb that does hurt when i don't play for a couple of weeks. not...so...pretty.
There are pictures (at Ana's forum in womans tennis forum) of Ana practising in Mallorca and she is there with Scott Byrnes and Melle Von Gemerden, a former ATP player who will be Ana's permanent hitting partner for next season. Yes.. Fernando was also there. Mom was nowhere to be seen though.
ReplyDeleteyeah, great pics of those two!sweet that fernando is escorting ana on her trainig....i hope he does his also, it kinda looks just one of them is the real tennis player in their relationship, and i'm not talking about ana.just hope she stays focused with all this new found escort and stuff.
ReplyDeleteand i'm not talking about fernando is what i meant to say....ups.
