(UPDATED) PHOTO OP: Mirka debuts ice rink in Monte Carlo, retires ice cube

Mirka Vavrinec (Federer?) was spotted working an ice rink on her ring finger while watching now husband Rog defeat Andreas Seppi in the Monte Carlo second round and raising his head-to-head against the Italian to 5-0. He'll next face compatriot Stanislas Wawrinka for a spot in the fourth round.

Although I couldn't zoom in close enough without losing too much picture quality, you can see the ring is MAMMOTH. I'm surprised Mirka could even raise that hand to clap even though she already gets a good arm workout with the Crackberry. Nice moves, Rog.

And just so we can see the big improvement, here's Mirka at the Oz Open back in January working an ice cube:

Oh, and thanks to a few readers who alerted me to the fact the couple are expecting a boy but still have yet to pick out a name. Don't they know it's already been chosen via the DtL Peanut Gallery? Like, duh.

UPDATE: Damn, Crackberry's going to PISSED once Mango arrives - you know, lack of attention and all. Wait! Mirka will put it down, right?

  1. I think it was quite wise of us to pick out a unisex name - Mango. But somehow you just knew it was going to be a boy...

  2. Do you think Mango will fly out of the womb in full RF regalia tucking his baby hair behind his baby ears?

  3. Just thought that maybe Mango might text Mirka when the time comes to get out of her vajayjay.

  4. Definitely! And then he'll steal Mirka's blackberry and start texting the Woods and Rossdale babys!

Damn Mirka's ring is BIG! I'm sooo not jealous! I mean, why would I like to have a ring that cost more than my house? Pah...

Oh and I think we can put those Rafa-Xiscca break-up rumors to rest! She was at his match today, looking hot as ever! damnit!!!

  5. That ice rink is obnoxious. BLEH! Why don't you tattoo "I'm married to Roger Federer and he bought me like a really really big ring. Like, it's totally huge! SEE?!?!" on your face.

  6. Oh my God I really don't mean to sound green but that ring could feed like 50 families in Africa. LOL
    The size is ridiculous. o_O

  7. Yeah, that ring looked FABULOUS; Mirka, not so much.

I guess Rafisca IS still on and she looked lovely (darn it!!!), and his sister is finally coming along nicely -- she used to be look like a female version of Rafa, which was surprisingly not as nice looking as you would think it would be. Unfortunately, the parents might be broken up (so sad if true). Rafa's Mom was there w/o his Dad and sans wedding ring (poor Rafa - NO!!!)

PS - the bull shoes are for sale now, will the hat follow (please, oh please, oh please).

  8. Despite that vulgar-sized diamond, she was wearing that horrid and cheap looking purple tent number that she herself must've fashioned out of hotel shower curtains.

As for Rafa's parents: Monte Carlo is an outing for Nadal ladies (Rafa's mother, sister & girlfriend, Toni's wife and 3 daughters are all there). Nadal men (father, uncles) were all in Miami. Nothing to it.

  9. Dang, could you people be more jealous - if she was wearing a non-existent diamond, it would have been - with all the money he is making he could not afford something a little bigger -

  10. thts so true, u just imagined a junior Fed :) yay!

and omg Mirka seriously put the 'crackberry' down!!!

andd woaahh HUGE huge hugee ring and Anon 2:22 totally true, wht was she wearing...she looks awkward while tht rings looks all shine :D

  11. Karen: Actually no, that would NOT be my response because it shouldn't be about showcasing the absolute "sky is the limit" of what you & your partner can afford. What she's wearing is obscene. A non-existent diamond, a simple wedding band, would be much more elegant, IMO.

  12. Anon 3:48, we see this type of stuff with celebrities all the time. It's no different with Fed & Mirka.

  13. Mirka starts to look like a Sopranos wife.

  14. Marissa: Exactly. And it's gross. In all cases.

  15. I'm sorry but giant, ostentatious "Look at me!" rings are sooo tacky. It matches her tacky warddrobe perfectly, I suppose. The other diamond ring she had was perfectly fine.

Money can't buy true class or style.

  16. I'd start hatin' just like the rest of you but that would make me feel empty considering that Mirka and her ring-worth-more-than-all-our-homes-combined doesn't give 2 cents about our opinions. She's happy with the father of her child and husband so we should all just shut up.

  17. Amen Anon 6:10.

I wish I was Mirka more for Roger and the world traveling than the ring but whatever.

  18. The bling is ridonkulous. Does it spell RF on it? Or "Property of RF".

  19. Maybe Mirka wants people to look at her ring more than her growing baby bump. Since the media is so intent on focusing on her weight, they can now focus on the rock sitting precariously on her ever-pudgy-growing finger.

  20. It is all a matter of taste. Clearly she went into Tiffany's saw this huge rock, freaking loved it, and decided that that was what she wanted. Some of us our men and men and women in our lives have never even thought of spending so much money on us. Leave the woman alone. As for her style of dress. So what if she is not looking like some Hollywood Hooker dressed in jeans and t-shirt etc, it is clear that her man loves her. How many of us can say that? Majority of us who post here cannot even maintain a relationship for a week, let alone 10 years (and she did it without the benefit of a piece of paper). Stop hating people. This is what real women look like. No longer does she have to dress up and impress her man. He loves her just the way she is.

  21. LOL, thanks for opening my eyes about my relationships and the importance of expensive jewellery, Karen.

  22. Karen, I think Mirka is a great woman as far as I can tell. And for many reasons you stated. I admire the couple for their long lasting relationship and I appreciate a woman who actually is a woman and not a skinny slut. And I also appreciate a man who is as successful as Roger who doesn't wear girls like accessories.

That doesn't mean I can't say that the ring is over the top. (And don't even get my started on diamonds in general.)
