QUOTE OF THE DAY: Andy Murray
- Andy Murray giving a bit of ribbing to The Times' preeminent tennis scribe Neil Harman for mistakenly tweeting he would "miss Roland Garros" due to injury
TOTAL BLOGGER MOVE, NEIL.
By the tone of his tweet I'd say Muzz is in pretty good spirits ahead of Roland Garros. The Brit baller even tamed his hairy situation just for the occasion:
Niiiice. You know what? He should be feeling good and here's why: Muzz came the closest to defeating Novak Djokovic during the clay court swing and he landed in a pretty favorable quarter of the draw. So rib on, Muzz. Rib. On.

PHOTO OP: Ferrero and his facial fur advance in Auckland, bottle blonde no more

Juan Carlo Ferrero was spotted working some new facial fur during his match in Auckland today. The former Roland Garros champ advanced to the second round when his opponent, Kei Nishikori, retired from their match with a right forearm injury while trailing 3-5 in the first set.
I've always thought JC was a cutie but in a pretty boy kinda way. This facial fur, though, gives him a rougher edge which I def like on him more and his hair looks closer to its natural color (remember this? Eww.) I may have to check to see if the curtains match the drapes just to be EXTRA sure.
DO TELL!

A newfound hairy situation grows, facial fuzz takes over the ATP Tour
Feeling the fuzz: So, I touched on (or is it up?) Fabio Fognini's "Best 'Brows" moment last week and now I've stumbled upon a new kind of hairy situation on the ATP Tour - facial hair. Maybe I'm noticing the trend because I grew out my own facial fuzz recently, but there seems to be an affinity towards furry faces on our tennis ballers - goatees, beards, and everything in between.
The perpetrators include, beginning at left, previous hairy situation offender Jose Acasuso (still working the mullet) Dmitry Tursunov and Rotterdam titlist Michael Llodra.
Dmitry pulls off the sexy + masculine facial fuzz the best while Michael goes the clean-cut route. But, don't ask what's going on with Jose's - at least he's consistently bad, though.
