SIGHTING: Celebrities watch Federer win his fourth round match

FedFans Gavin Rossdale + Gwen Stefani

Like Andy Roddick, Roger Federer can bring the stars out to Arthur Ashe Stadium as he did last night for his 6-3, 7-6 (4), 6-3 fourth round win over 13th seed Jurgen Melzer. He'll face a huge obstacle, in all ways, on his path to a sixth US Open title when he battles Robin Soderling in the quarterfinals, a rematch of their meeting Roland Garros in the same round won by the Swede.

One quick note: It appears Gwen Stefani + Caroline Wozniacki are either sharing nail polish bottles or, worse, visiting the same manicurist. And we all know who's to blame. Carry on.

Therapist alert: Boris + Sharlely back together, reportedly getting married

Is this really Boris Becker's life or an episode of Gossip Girl?

The 6-time Grand Slammer reportedly told a live audience during an appearance on the popular German variety show “Wetten dass...” that he and on-again, off-again, on-again girlfriend Sharlely Kerssenberg will be getting married on June 12 in Switzerland. The pair were dating about 4 years when the German star broke it off via text message a day before his 40th birthday in 2007. How sweet.

Last summer Boris began dating Sandy Meyer-Woelden, the 24-year old daughter of his late manager Axel Meyer-Woelden and ex-girlfriend of Tommy Haas. The couple also became engaged until Sandy ended the relationship via what? You guessed it - a text message.

The tennis legend admitted to the audience he had "taken a wrong turn" and was forgiven by Sharlely shortly after his breakup with Sandy.

Boris + Lilly, I wish you all the happiness in the world. Oh, and lots of couples, and individual, therapy. You'll need it - just sayin'.

PS - Thanks Dophe!

Sandy Meyer-Woelden to Boris Becker: "no mre i luv u pt2 lmao!"

Boris Becker sucks at love.

The 6-time Grand Slammer was recently dumped by his 26-year old fiancee Sandy Meyer-Woelden and revealed the details of the breakup to German paper Bild:

I suddenly got an SMS (text message) from Sandy ... saying this was it, that's it, it is over. To make sure how serious she was she sent me five others saying the same thing. I was completely surprised.
Last year, Boris notoriously broke up with girlfriend Sharlely Kressenberg a day before his 40th birthday through a text message of his own.

Oh karma's a bitch, B.

Poker reminds Boris of tennis, may be losing his marbles shortly

Old age may have finally caught up to Boris Becker.

The recently engaged 6-time Grand Slammer is one of the star attractions on the Pokerstars.com team so the UK's trash rag The Mirror decided to sit down with the tennis legend for a video interview as the European Poker Tour got underway today.

As if reading mental cue cards, a serious and somewhat ragged-looking Boris discusses his long history playing the game, the competitiveness between players, and what he hopes to accomplish on the tour.

The German star also reveals how the card game reminded him so much of his time he ruled the roost in tennis:

I used to play tennis, obviously, so poker is sort of the next thing. It reminded me a lot about my past, the skills you need in poker you need in tennis as well: concentration, patience, endurance, reading the other player, I'm bluffing sometimes...
No kidding with the "bluffing" thing B.

But seriously, "concentration", "patience", and "endurance"? Really?? I had no idea tennis + poker were so similar - crazy! It's good to know you've put those skills to good use and they won't get rusty in your dusty tennis bag.

Hey Rafa - if this tennis thing doesn't work out you'll always have a spot on the poker tour (some people have all the luck.)

Becker reportedly engaged to Haas' former girlfriend - did he propose via text message?

Boris Becker is quite the ladies' man, or so he may think.

The 40-year old tennis legend is reportedly engaged to Sandy Meyer-Woelden, the 24-year old daughter of his late manager Axel Meyer-Woelden. She's a former model and also the ex-girlfriend of Tommy Haas. Check it:

Okay - let's do this shall we? Boris conceived his daughter Anna with Angela Ermakova in the broom closet of Nobu London and then late last year dumped his last girlfriend, Sharlely Kerssenberg, a day before his 40th birthday through a text message. Nice touch.

All in all I'd say you have your work cut out for you Sandy. What a catch!

FASHION FIX: A closer look at The Boris Becker Collection

Boris Becker made an appearance at the McFit Masters of Legends tennis tournament in Duesseldorf, Germany this week. The former Wimbledon champion battled John McEnroe and sported gear from his eponymous fashion line. We weren't so familiar with the collection so we clicked over to his site and check out the goods - and were we surprised.

The Boris Becker Collection is a full tennis line that not only includes apparel but also tennis racquets, tennis bags, strings, dampners, and even tennis balls! Though there are 3 fashion groups, we pulled highlights from our favorite: BB Retro Court - Black & White Collection. (We'd be fools to try to review the equipment so we'll leave it to What's All the Racquet.)

+ THURSDAY NETCORDS: Jelena, Boris, A-Rod, Venus vs. Serena...Sania makes amends, Becks makes us cry and more

- End of the road? What are Venus & Serena Williams' chances at next month's Australian Open? Franklin L. Johnson for tennisweek.com says, "Is this the last major hurrah for the Williams sisters? These extraordinary athletes have been around so long many of us take them for granted. But, nothing lasts forever, including the legendary careers of Venus and Serena." But before calling it a day on their careers, let's take a trip back to the early Williams' days courtesy of Women's Tennis Blog.

- And she acts, too: Serbian Shank Award recipient Jelena Jankovic will co-star with "Hairspray" star Brittany Snow in a new, original Reebok Entertainment-produced TV show titled "Framed" that will debut Friday night on the IFC channel.

- Self-promoter: Bellezza at All About Becker found the former Wimbledon champ pimping his own clothing line. We suppose someone has to wear it.

- Get all the dirt and details on the ASB Classic and Heineken Open with R.C. French and tennis blog Yellowballin' (we're loving that name).

- Indian sensation Sania Mirza was busted for shooting an ad in the premises of a mosque in her hometown Hyderabad and then later apologized saying, "I would like to apologise to all my brothers and sisters and respected elders who are anguished by my unwittingly entering a portion of the land belonging to Mecca Masjid." The assistant police commissioner accepted the apology saying, "The girl has sent an e-mail saying sorry and her mother also went to the mosque and has given a letter." The 'girl'? How dismissive of them.

- Wishful thinking: Sports Central released the Annual Tennis Holiday Wish List. Their biggest instance of wishful thinking? "4. A grand slam sweep for Maria Sharapova. She proved to be a true professional this year, and the world can use a few more of those. Maybe the holiday season will provide her with enough magic to win all four big ones in the same year, as well." We don't think so (see comments - we even told them so!)

- The end of the tennis year wouldn't be complete without Sports Illustrated's Jon Wertheim and his Baggie Awards.

- Some kinda threesome: It's all love, love, love for Chris Evert, Greg Norman, and some guy at NBC Sports.

- Speaking of love...Though his love life seems to be in order, Gasquet & Racquet fears for Andy Roddick's professional one and offers some analysis on the former US Open champ.

OFF TOPIC ALERT: David Beckham for Emporio Armani Underwear - holy crap.

Boris Becker to Sharlely Kerssenberg: "no mre i luv u"

no mre i luv u: Sharlely Kerssenberg, who was recently dumped by Boris Becker due to "different lifestyles", revealed the former tennis star made his intentions known a day before his 4oth birthday through an SMS text message. British tabloid The Sun quoted an interview Sharlely conducted with German mag Bunte, in which she said,

"The way it was done hurt me deeply. That was anything but cool. But he is the love of my life. He was the perfect boyfriend for me, a true gentleman. I admire him so much."

A true gentlemen? Seriously Sharlely?? He dumped you through a TEXT MESSAGE. We think you need to get yourself to some therapy, stat.

THE LOW DOWN: Boris Becker splits with Sharlely Kerssenberg, blames 'different lifestyles'

Becker break-up: In a recent interview with Revue magazine, tennis star Boris Becker confirmed he has split from girlfriend Sharlely Kerssenberg. The pair most recently walked the red carpet together at the MTV Europe Awards where Boris was also a presenter.

The 40-year old former Wimbledon champ tells the magazine, "We came to realize in the course of time that we stood for different lifestyles. In such a situation you have to be honest with each other."

Boris' explanation is a bit cryptic, we think. What does he mean when he says "we stood for different lifestyles"? Wow -for someone who helped conceive a baby in a restaurant broom closet, that's really saying something.

SIGHTING: Boris Becker attends MTV Europe Awards, visits with Nelson Mandela

Tennis champion Boris Becker and his current girlfriend Sharlely Kersenberg are never ones to shy away from the spotlight - whether showing PDA on a beach or giving it up for charity. The duo attended the MTV Europe Music Video Awards in Munich, Germany where tennis star was a presenter.

Earlier in the week the former World No. 1 posed with South Africa's former president Nelson Mandela and some of the local musical talent who will be performing at the 46664 AIDS benefit concert on December 1st. The performance line up also includes Peter Gabriel, Annie Lennox, Corinne Briley Rae, Razorlight, Ludacris, and the Goo Goo Dolls.

SIGHTING: Boris Becker brushes up on golf game

Tennis champion Boris Becker broke away from gorgeous girlfriend Sharlely Kersenberg long enough to participate in the pro - am of The Mercedes-Benz Championship at The Gut Larchenhof Golf Club in Pulheim, near Cologne, Germany.

We can't tell from these photos how Boris' golf game is these days, but his fashion game is out of control. We much prefer the "dapper" Boris from The Laureus Charity Gala this past summer.

SIGHTING: Boris Becker and girlfriend take in US Open, keep hands to themselves

Tennis legend Boris Becker and his gorgeous girl-of-the-moment Sharlely Kersenberg kept their hands off each other long enough to watch World No. 1 Roger Federer dismiss Andy Roddick from the US Open last night. It was Fed's 14th win over the American overall, with only one loss.

I guess the Swiss' ethereal game can distract even the most amorous of couples from committing PDA (public displays of affection, y'all.) though Sharlely doesn't look too happy about it...

SIGHTING: Boris Becker & girlfriend share some public lovin'

Tennis legend Boris Becker has no problem sharing his love in public. Here's the 6-time Grand Slam champ on vacation in Ibiza getting frisky with current girlfriend Sharlely Kersenberg.

Of course, Boris' most infamous moment of public fornication happened when he was discovered getting in on with model Angela Ermakova in a broom closet at Nobu in London - resulting in a daughter, Anna, and a divorce from his wife at the time, Barbara Feltus.

Some things never change...

+ Weekend Winners

DFS Classic - Jelena "Weird Al" Jankovic d. Maria Shriekapova 4-6, 6-3, 7-5. I think Janko beating Shriekapova, a former Wimbledon winner, on grass is a pretty significant win for the raven-haired Serbian. I'm a big fan of her game, so if she can keep her marbles together at 4-all in the 3rd set of the Wimby semifinals a maiden Grand Slam title is possible. Otherwise the "choke-master" label is not out of the question, with her devastating loss to Justin Henin at the U.S. Open last year (where she was up a set and a break) and her apathetic losses at the Aussie and French Opens this year.

Queen's Club - Andy Roddick d. Nicolas Mahut 4-6, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (2). It's good to see A-Rod fighting to win a title! He's definitely one of the best on grass, so this should be a good confidence booster for him. He's too good not to have added to his first Slam at the U.S. Open (although, to be fair, he's living in the 'Federer Years'.) He joins Lleyton Hewitt, John McEnroe, and Boris "Baby Daddy" Becker as 4-time winners at Queen's Club.

Gerry Weber Open - Tomas Berdych d. Marcos Baghdatis 7-5, 6-4. Too bad for the Baghster, losing on his 22nd birthday. But Tomas is so talented, yet so streaky (and much prettier than his girlfriend Lucie Safarova, actually.) He could do damage at The All-England Club with his power game but one never knows which Tomas will show up. Berdych has the skills to beat anyone on a good day, but those come few and far between for the Czech player.

+ Netcords

- Serena 'Sister Sledge' Williams seems to have moved past her disappointment of losing to Justine Henin (and badly I might add) and had a little Miami Beach fun. Who needs a Grand Slam title anyway when you're packin' it like Serena?

- Apparently, being a retired tennis pro who has sex in broom closets matters NOT to Ralph Lauren. Word has it Boris Becker will be the clothing giant's ambassador at Wimbledon this year. So much for class on grass...

- Au revoir! to the French Open says Jon Wertheim.
