Gael Monfils took the "scenic" route to Kuala Lumpur but still managed to grab an opening round win.
The Frenchie, who won his first title in four years at Metz last weekend, defeated Denis Istomin 7-6(3), 7-6(2) after arriving at his hotel at 9am in the morning. After winning the title on Sunday he had rented a car in Metz to get to his home in Geneva since there were no flights available and arrived at 3am. Then, he took a flight to Paris on Tuesday to catch another flight leaving for Kuala Lumpur arriving this morning. He only had an hour at the hotel before leaving for his 10am practice. Phew.
Great effort La Monf, but a thumbs WAY down on the hairy situation. Seriously, when did you find the time to get your hair done?
Anyway, I hope you don't think you can hide that mess - unless it came with the hat. Then, you're excused.

Hey Rich, you don't think it's better than the troll situation he's had going on for the past couple of years? I mean, sure, this looks horrible, but the way it's been now for a while has been ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteNo, no, no! Like someone said on Twitter he looks like a Milli Vanilli reject. Bring me the troll!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteFinally, a Monfils post! I got to DANCE WITH HIM!!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was only a minute or two, but I can't tell you how thrilled I was. Then embarrassed, because there is no way this old body should be dancing with him. It was a disgrace and disservice to America. Thank God the only people who saw it were the hotel staff setting up for the next event and his coach.
The song playing was Morris Day and The Time's "Jungle Love." Can anyone blame me for dancing???
I remember I saw an interview on French TV with Gael a few years ago and he had the braid thing going (sans hat) and he looked effing hot. I hope that underneath the cap it looks like it did back then because I want to tap that. Not going to lie though, I'd tap that either way.
ReplyDeletenatch: Guuurl, be careful. All of La Monf's dances should come with a warning: "These moves may throw your back out. Proceed with caution. Or else. Just sayin'."
ReplyDeletesara: LAY INTO IT. That's my motto. With everything.
BALLLLLLLLLLLIN nukkkkkkkkkka
ReplyDelete@natch. you danced with him? wow like how? ballroom, gridning do tell ALL lol, did he ask you to dance like a gentleman, did you get to feel his abs? i'm uber jelous right now lol
ReplyDeletehhm not suer bout his hair situation at the mo hope it looks better under that hat but i love la monf anyway i might end up liking him :P
Hehe it looks like the braids came with the hat! :D
ReplyDeleteI love Monfils but I don't like his hair. He is not so cute anymore with the braids.
