Jo-Wilfried Tsonga - Johannesburg
As Van predicted, Jo-Willy defeated his compatriot and first-time finalist Jeremy Chardy 6-4, 7-6 (5) to win in Johannesburg and earn his third ATP World Tour title (Bangkok, Paris Masters). He also raced through the draw without dropping a set all week - nice.
Fernando Gonzalez - Vina del Mar
Gonzo grabbed his fourth title at his home tourney, crushing good friend Jose Acasuso 6-1, 6-3 to win at Vina del Mar. The Chilean baller earned his 11th career ATP World Tour title and, like Jo-Willy, blew through his draw without dropping a single set.
Marin Cilic - Zagreb
In a battle of Croats, rising start Marin Cilic beat Mario Ancic 6-3, 6-4 at their home tourney in Zagreb earning his third ATP World Tour title (New Haven, Chennai).

Hey Rich, I don't know if he's been included in the past, but I think Gonzo has a hairy situation going on: The receding hairline and the part down the middle are bad. Then when you throw in the big tan line because of the headband, it only makes it worse!
ReplyDeleteBut congrats to him and the other winners.
HA! He def has a receding hairline but in any case I appreciate the nomination. I'll have to keep a close eye on his situation!!!
ReplyDeleteI was so going to comment on Gonzo's hair before I even popped the comment window open.
ReplyDeleteSo his facial hair is as glorious as ever, but the head is receding?? That's a case of too much testosterone if I've ever heard one...
Gonzo's forehead will reach his ass soon!
ReplyDeleteGonzo. Tee hee hee.
ReplyDeleteHooray! Rich is back! :D
Congrats, Jo-Willy! Ya big lug.
Nice win for Jo! The guy unfortunately has a knack for picking up the least attractive trophies though. I mean, were those horns?! His house will be a modern art museum soon. lol
ReplyDeleteBack to the point: nice win!! :)
