You'd think that with all the prize money she could buy herself all that stuff on her wishlist.
ReplyDeleteI'd like a look at it, to be honest.
yes just one of many strange thoughts coming from ReRe! I really think she's going all Mariah on us.
ReplyDeleteLOL, think she watched too much reality shows she wants to start one her own now.
ReplyDeletei think it's funny. the thing about stuff on your wishlist going out of stuck is so true. hehe.
ReplyDeletei can sit indoors for days, but i guess athletes are more bouncy, they want to whack some tennis balls and having to sit still in that mode drives them nuts hehehe.
stock. spelling.
ReplyDeleteMariah on us- haha! I do believe that's true!
ReplyDeleteOh, DIVA!
And not in a nice Ella Fitzgerald way.
all riiiiight. hehe crazy rere.
ReplyDeletein general i like serena, but it pisses me off to see that video blog then read that she withdrew from her match with a back problem. i can't help but feel like maybe she just decided she was sick of being in rome.
ReplyDeletewhy does it seem like some of the pros (men and women) take dropping out of tournaments so lightly? i don't think the fans get a refund on their overpriced tickets. and then people wonder why tennis is languishing. when's the last time someone bought tickets to a baseball or basketball game that got canceled with no refunds?
i would agree with you up to a point. i would say most of them at one time or another have 'exaggerated' their injuries or illnesses to get out of tourneys and other commitments (see maria posts on wta photoshoot and skipping berlin) and save their energy right before a grand slam.
ReplyDeletebut i also think with the crazy schedule, a lot of these withdrawals are, unfortunately for the sport, very legit and the sched forces them to fabricate or lie about their condition so as to not get a hefty fine.
that's why the players have such gripes against both tours right now.
and everyone loses - the fans and most worringly the sport itself.
