With the winter doldrums hitting hard here in NYC, it's been refreshing to see the burst of yellow fever happening at this week's Dubai Duty Free Women's Open. Russians Vera Dushevina in Sergio Tacchini and Maria "Shriek"apova (who pulled out with viral infection) and Japan's Akiko Morigami in Fila were all spotted working this spring hue.
I say "bring it" and not just because it's one of my fave colors (see blog header). Will winter never end?

Yellow really compliments the court landscape colors. I like yellow also. Still trying to figure out what's so hot about Maria? She has the model heights, but I don't see all of this gorgeousness. She's attractive, but all of this drop dead gorgeous stuff I can't figure. To each his own. Her on camera personality has improved immensely. Seems like a good young lady though.
