A relaxed Rafael Nadal was spotted making his way around the Olympic Green Tennis Center on a Segway . More than 100 of the 2-wheelers have been made available for transportation around the venues to help cut down on car fumes.
Meanwhile back at the practice courts, Rafa continued sharpening his skills while working some crazy-ass outfit. Is he becoming delirious from the smog?
It all seems to fit his personality whatever the reason. Go figure.

ReplyDeleteI experienced the smog in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia about 2 years ago for almost a week. To be honest, I don't know how the players can stand it in Beijing, if it is as bad as what I'm seeing. You *do* feel the difference in breathing from the smog.

Yeah, Rafa's two suitcases got lost flying from Cincy via Chicago, but he explained to Spanish press it's no biggie - upon arrival he was issued official Spanish Olympic duds made by a Chinese manufacturer (red tee in these practice pics), and the colourful swimming trunks shorts and white tee with golden lettering are given to him by China Tennis branch of Nike.

He's clearly loving the experience at the Olympic Village, it's like summer camp or school trip for him.

ReplyDeleteBy the way, call me crazy, but I friggin' love the outfit! :D Those pants do look like swimming trunks though. But I like the orange stripes. It compliments his tanned skin (mmmhhhmmm).
And I just love unconventional dressing, hehe.
