The 10th annual BNP Paribas Taste of Tennis was held last night at the W Hotel and guests were invited to share in tasty foods created by some of the most world-reknown chefs while sipping on cocktails provided by sponsor Rums of Puerto Rico.

Some of the world's biggest ballers took part in the event which benefited the Food Bank of New York City.

Kiefer gives good hair - but what's new?

Shirtless brigade member Nicolas Kiefer passed a tough opening round test at the Rogers Masters in Toronto today, defeating Mardy Fish 7-5, 7-6 (4). The German will take on either Mikhail Youzhny or Andreas Seppi in the next round.

I've never seen Nicolas with a hairy situation - ever - so it came as a surprise to see that he chopped off his lovely locks. But I have to say the 31-year old baller is looking really good here with his new clean-cut 'do. Super cute.

Maybe the German is following the zoning Juan Martin Del Potro's recent winning strategy.

Who knows. But what do I know? Good hair = confidence.

PHOTO OP: Kiefer returns to form, shares joy (and abs) with the world

Nicolas Kiefer continued his renaissance (not to mention his disrobing) in Hamburg today.

The German giant-killer earned his second top-10 scalp of the week taking out world no. 4 Nikolay Davydenko 7-5, 6-3 and making the quarterfinals for the first time this year. Nicolas also took out world no. 10 Stanislas Wawrinka earlier in the week.

Doesn't he seem like a man possessed, enjoying every moment and sharing his joy (and body) with the world? I say "onward man"!

PHOTO OP: Kiefer loses to Ferrero in Rome, joins shirtless brigade

Even though Nicolas Kiefer lost to Juan Carlos Ferrero 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-4 in Rome's first round, the German does get a consolation prize: induction into DtL's shirtless brigade! I offer you my warmest welcome Nicolas.

One other thing: Is it me or is he doing his best Colin Farrell impression?
