I wasn't bothered at all. I was doing what I had to. Every player on the tour would have done exactly the same thing. I wasn't doing anything wrong. We'll see the reaction tomorrow.

You know, even Sneaky said it was the right tactic. But there are some who think it was crossing the line. I'm curious to know what you guys think. Was it fair play or did Muzz go overboard with it?

If you're getting crushed because you're hobbling around and can't get to drop shots, I guess you should retire from the match.

It's not Andy's job to hit the ball to his opponent to ensure they can hit the ball. If you opponent has a horrible backhand are you obligated to alway hit their forehand?

Yes I agree Murray is perfectly entitled to play this way; but I like Simon and it was a bit unpleasant to watch and it is before a french crowd so they felt it more. Not many frencies left now in MC and no french champion at Roland Garros for ages! They dont like Nadal much either as they want a french champion.

ReplyDeletemurray could use dropshot in all his shots, it's fine. simon decided to play on so he accepted the possibility of it happening.
ReplyDeleteYeah, even Sneaky said it was the right tactic. But even if he didn't I'd still say it was totally fair. You try to win any way you can within the rules. Sometimes it's not the prettiest tennis but if it gets the win then it's the right play.
