Letter to DtL readers: Change to comment procedure

Hey readers,

In an effort to manage the DtL Peanut Gallery I've made a change to the log in procedure for leaving comments. Unfortunately you'll no longer be able to leave anonymous comments. You'll need to either sign in with your Google/Blogger account or log in with your OpenID account.

You may already have an OpenID account if you use other services like Yahoo!, LiveJournal, Flickr, Wordpress, MySpace and a few others.

Click here to find out how to sign in to DtL using one of those accounts or to create one of your own.

Thanks,

RiCH

Letter to the readers: Down the Line! celebrates its first birthday today

Hey y'all,

Today is Down the Line!'s first birthday. I can't believe it's been a whole year since I started writing this blog. Check out the very first post here...

It's been a blast not only writing about the sport we're all obsessed with but to read the great comments left by readers around the world. Whether you agree, disagree, question, or tell me to fuck off (yes that's happened too...fun!), the reader comments keep me motivated and entertained.

So thanks to all of you for reading and I look forward to continuing to bring a raw + uncut look into the world that we all love: tennis!

Rich

P.S. - I'm always looking for contributors with a unique voice for previews, wrap-ups, and on-the-ground reporting from the Grand Slams so if you're interested in writing/blogging (and come with thick skin) hit me up with your best stuff at tips@downthelinetennis.com.

Housekeeping moment brought to you by Down the Line!

Hello readers,

Down the Line! got another facelift - well, more of a touch up I'd say - and is now carrying the ATP Master Series Flash Player on the right hand side of the page. The player will showcase:

- Daily highlights during all ATP Masters Series tournament

- Player Interviews

- In-depth features

I've also created a third column on to accommodate the player + Google ads and darkened the background of the page a bit.

Enjoy!

Rich
