Fernando Verdasco was spotted with Ana Ivanovic's mama, Dragana, watching her daughter practice before going down to Zheng Jie in Beijing today.
Hmmm - after seeing Fernando whisper "sweet somethings" to the Serb during the player party this week and now this photo, the pair are most definitely getting closer. Another trip to Spain for Ana has got to be in the works.
I'm liking the idea of "Anando" very much - quite the sexy couple. What says you? Do tell!
Side note: Though she seems sweet enough, the name "Dragana" scares the crap out of me. Don't ask...

Dragana is actually a pretty sweet name - in Serbian, it translates as Honey.
ReplyDeleteBtw, the lady is a lawyer by profession, but stopped practicing to travel with daughter. So, there is some fierceness involved and Nando should mind his steps.

dragana does not mean 'honey'... 'draga' literally translates to 'dear' so dragana stems from that adjective. the male version of the name is dragan. both are very common in serbia.

ReplyDeleteWell, they would look good together..but he is a head case on the court, and his tennis game needs a LOT of improvement. And it is NOT going to help Ana to win the tournaments, that's for sure.
ReplyDeletewell this would be a huge mistake for Ana to be "involved" with verdasco. he isnt a relationship guy he is just after his next conquest. once he succeeds he will move onto someone else. all you need is to look at fernado's track record to see what he is after it isnt rocket science. geez he has a different women on his arm every week.

Ok, I did some research about Nando's dating ways.
ReplyDeleteHe has 'snagged' some girls over the years, including tennis player Gisela Dulko and Spanish model Dafne Fernandez.
He has had a girlfriend for some years, model Priscilla de Gustin. At the French Open they were still together, and as far as known they still are. So that would mean all those rumors about Anando aren't true :(

ReplyDelete- Based on the images and Fernando sitting with Dragana in her box and at courtside I'd say something is going on. If not a dating thing, maybe it's a PR thing to get his face out there.
He could also be pulling a Shriekapova from the US Open '07 when she was in Nole's box for the final and then seen with him throughout this year.
But you don't hang with someone's mom unless the mom was cool with you hanging with her daughter.
We'll see!
That's right, about the PR thing: Ivanovic and Verdasco are both with Adidas. And Ivanovic´s coach, Sven Groeneveld, is also a part-time coach of Verdasco. And they both have the same sparring partner. Quite some thing in common..although I don't think that could explain why he's hanging out with her mom.
