We've been admiring a new girl in town - 18-year old Agnes Szavay. We love her game - solid serve, hard groundies, variety, excellent movement - and, of course, her flirty skirt moment. The former junior French Open champ has been making serious noise at this week's US Open warm-up, the Pilot Pen, by reaching the final as a qualifier and taking down World No. 10 Daniela Hantuchova earlier in the week.
And it seems we're not the only one's taking notice: SI's Jon Wertheim has picked the Hungarian to reach no less than the SEMIFINALS at the Open, with a potential matchup against fashion-loving Russian Maria "Shriek"apova.

SIGHTING: Lindsay Davenport doubles up with son Jagger, talks motherhood
3-time Grand Slam champ Lindsay Davenport is returning to tennis action this week, playing doubles at the Pilot Pen. She was accompanied by a special guest during her press conference: Jagger Jonathan Leach. "I can't believe I'm subjecting him to this at such a young age," said Lindsay.
The former World No. 1 also talked about motherhood saying, "It's been a blast. Being a mother is pretty wild," [...] "Anyone who has a child knows that your life changes, your responsibilities change. But I've felt my whole life that I've wanted to be a mother. It's a lot of balancing right now between practicing and spending time with him. But it's going to be really exciting to get back out there again."

Serena Williams plays it up for The New York Times
8-time Grand Slam champion Serena "ReRe" Williams recently pulled out of the Pilot Pen, the last warm-up before the US Open. Her chances of showing up at the year's final Grand Slam and making a run are, at this point, slim to none.
This news didn't stop The New York Times from profiling ReRe in their Sunday supplement, PLAY. The article is a familiar story: Serena the player, the part-time actress, the party-hopper, and champion. However, the images are beautiful.
"If you think of the tennis world, it's not that big," said ReRe. "There's the big picture, people dying overseas in the war, and people giving to charities, and people changing lives. . . . Tennis, in comparison, is not that big. And if you keep it in perspective, you can play even better. If I lose, you know what? I lose."
